A large rock along a pathway by the river, how much of it there is unseen, I don’t know. Usually it is covered with kids, as we are still close to the parking lot for the trailhead.

Desert Turnaround
Driving through the desert in Arizona there are these places where several paths and roads seem to come together. Usually very deserted their is a sense that something has gone on here, but we just won’t ever know exactly what.

Another image from the shoreline on a day of forest fire smoke and haze.
The forest fires have been going on for a month or so, and with each shift in the wind new areas are filled with the smoke and haze. The wind seemed to change just as we arrived in Washington State.

A Walk Through the Cranberry Farms and Marshland.
These images are from a short project I have been working on during a break in the rain. These paths seem endless, with walkways across the cranberry fields, through the marshlands and then by the river. Some are wide open walkways, some roads and then, suddenly you can be bending over to make your way through an archway of winter-bent tree branches. Eagles, floatplanes and clouds pass by endlessly. There is a rumble of explosions from quarries in the mountains echoing back and forth across the valley. Remnants of last season’s berry crop, bright red, break through where there was snow and ice a few days before.

I’m spending much of my time editing garden and woodland photos and while doing that taking a break to do more industrial based images.
